What is a Plateau?

A “Plateau” is a cake stand. They range in height from about 3” to 7”. Silver is the most readily available, but other types, gold, mirrored or glass and wrought iron are possible. Some plateaus are carved and ornate while others are plain and smooth. The plateau can add height and formality to your wedding cake and makes a very showy cake table. Currently, I have an 18” and 22’ square and an 18” and 22” round available for rent. They are the carved and ornate variety. The rental fee is $25.00 if your cake is contracted with The Sweetest Day. A deposit of $100.00 is required and the plateau is your responsibility to return. Plateaus must be returned by the Wednesday following the wedding.
